01 Antifreezing measures for situations that are not used in winter
If the cooling equipment does not need to operate in winter, the spray water and internal circulating water must be drained during shutdown.It is recommended to use compressed air to forcefully drain the internal circulating water: it is not recommended to use draining method to prevent freezing for carbon steel tube heat exchangers.
02 Antifreezing problems in some situations where the system operates for a limited period of time
The anti-freezing of closed cooling towers has two parts: the spray water system and the internal circulating water system (demineralized water). The anti-freezing problem of the spray water system is usually solved by installing a heater in the water pan or draining it directly.The anti-freezing of the internal circulating water system can be solved by adding glycol solution or adding electric heating equipment.
03 Anti-freezing problems in the environment of year-round operation
After use, the water in the cooling tower is blown out with an air compressor: the cooling water pump is operated with variable frequency for 24 hours to ensure that the cooling water in the cooling tower is always flowing: a thermal insulation cover is added to the outside of the equipment, and a high-power bulb is added to the inside to heat and insulate the bulb: the equipment is installed outdoors, and antifreeze can be added to the stainless steel water tank and spray water tank.
04 Install bypass water pipes
Connecting a bypass pipe to the inlet pipe of the cooling tower and leading it to the collecting tank allows the bypass return water to mix with the original cold water in the collecting tank, thus regulating the temperature of the tank water.
05 steam tracing
Lead a steam pipe from the steam pipeline to the water collecting tank of the cooling tower, and make a coil at the bottom of the water collecting tank. The steam enters the steam coil in the water collecting tank through the pipeline, and through steam-water heat exchange, the water in the tank is heated.06 Electric heating treatment
Add electric heaters or other heat sources on the pipeline or circulating water tank to increase the surface temperature of the closed cooling tower.
07 Set the windshield
To prevent cold air from entering the tower and causing freezing of the water-cooled packing, a windscreen can be installed at the inlet of the cooling tower.
